"He was discovering happiness in the present. When he sat reading in the library, or playing Mozart in the music room, he often felt the invasion of a deep spiritual emotion, as if Shangri-LA were indeed a living essence, distilled from the magic of the ages and miraculously preserved against time..."

Thru the airports and in downtown Auckland
Al and Gabe in the Cedar Rapids Airport Mo and Al before departure The ferries from our hotel room Downtown Auckland
OK,,,,,NOW I get it!! Since I am a newcomer and havent connected with Al or Mona in 30 yrs, I mistakenly thought you were on vacation,,,,,but NO,,,you had to up and go to the Land Down Under for an extended trip. Good for you!! I remember living twice in England while my Dad was on Sabbatical and doing work at Cambridge. Great experience for both Al, Mona, and Gabe!! How long are you there for, and is Al teaching, studying, or practicing? PS,,,Mona looks like she did in college.
ohhhhhh it looks like so much fun already!!! The few pictures you took of downtown and the ferries look beautiful. Can't wait to read your updates. Miss you much.
